ABSTRACT
The article reports that Finger Furniture Co. Inc. in the U.S. has liquidated its four remaining Finger stores and will convert them to the Ashley Furniture HomeStores format. Chief executive officer Rodney Finger states that the Finger format is not working for customers and the Ashley HomeStore business model is more efficient. Sales president of Lee Furniture Keely Rhodes suggests that a lot of retail volumes was produced under the Finger brand and some retailers may flourish with their departure.
