The article focuses on several real estate developments in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The El Cortez hotel and casino is upgrading its Ogden House tower, with Burke & Associates as the general contractor. The Las Vegas Paving Corp. has completed a three-block improvement project in January 2008, which created wider, more pedestrian-friendly sidewalks with enhanced landscaping, lighted gateways and vintage neon signs. CB Richard Ellis Group reports that downtown's office market is one of the nation's strongest.
