Lake Las Vegas files for bankruptcy

The article reports that the Lake Las Vegas community in Henderson, Nevada, and related companies have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on July 17, 2008. It states that former owners Ron Boeddeker and brothers Sid and Lee Bass withdrew $470 million in cash from the Lake Las Vegas development company in 2004. Frederick Chin, president of LLV Holdco LLC, is questioning the sale of a loan on the Falls Golf Course at Lake Las Vegas.
