ABSTRACT
The article reports that 4,503 debtors have filed for bankruptcy in the Las Vegas division of the District of Nevada in the first four months of 2008. The entry notes that the filings were 78 percent more than the same period in 2007 and 348 percent higher in the first quarter of 2006. It cites that most people want to file for debt liquidations rather than repayment plans to save their homes from the subprime mortgage crisis.
