ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the forms and uses of Pre-Columbian necklaces. Sources of information on these jewelry are gathered from excavation reports and materials, portrayal of the jewelry on pictures, sculptures and pottery, and refabrication by museums and the academics. There is also a challenge in identifying the values and images associated with the pieces based on the inference of the Native Americans. It is noted that most adornments are made of precious stones, shells, gold and copper.
