Herman Miller turns to patient seating

The article reports that Herman Miller Inc. is looking to manufacture hospital furniture. In February 2008, Herman Miller purchased Brandrud, which specializes in patient seating used in clinics and hospitals. Herman Miller spokesman Mark Schurman, during the June 9 introduction of the Nala and Cente chairs at NeoCon World's Trade Fair in Chicago, said the thought in clinical or hospital rooms tends to be all about cleanability and low cost, and not to ergonomics and comfort.
