CMC plans facility for carbon black alternative

The article reports that Carbolytic Materials Co. has been planning to build a factory in Maryville, Missouri, to produce its carbon black replacement, ApexCM. The firm had been evaluating materials at a small interim facility before deciding six months ago to construct its first major production site, according to Carbolytic president Ray Riek. The plant is based on new technologies that recover materials needed for carbon black alternatives from scrap tires.
