ABSTRACT
Suggests a way for estimating the parasitic series inductance of a bypass capacitor in a multilayer board with solid power and ground planes. Use of an approximation for the inductance due to the chip layout; Chip-package inductance; Flow of chip power-supply currents through the impedances.
