Meridian still operating hotel

The article reports that Meridian Luxury Suites in Las Vegas Strip, Nevada continues to operate as a hotel despite a cease and desist order from Clark County in 2008. The county's Business Licensing Department issued a June 23, 2008 deadline for Meridian to stop renting the units overnight while the code compliance office set a July 1, 2008 deadline for Meridian to secure the proper licensing requirements. Some units at Meridian are reportedly being sold at foreclosure rates.
