ABSTRACT
The article reports on the success of the convenience store at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston attributed to its product mixes. The Corner Store, the university's convenience store, has increased its daily sales by more than 50% since opening in September 2007, due to its incredible product mix. Kathy Gianquitti, director of dining services, says her department uses comment cards, surveys and word-of-mouth to field customer requests.
