Direct-Contact Heating System Used in Expansion of Edmonton Airport

The article offers information on the design solution used in the expansion of Edmonton International Airport in Northern Alberta. The expansion completed with additional heating capacity. It costed a total investment of approximately US$500,000 amortizing heating upgrades over a period of seven years, and saved amount to more than US$1 million. Sofame Technologies, a commercial and industrial heat recovery equipment manufacturer, offered a solution that met the criteria of the expansion.
