ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the criticism on the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System program of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). An example of the criticism is pertaining to the LEED for New Construction certification which drew complaints from the public. USGBC is changing the certification process after conducting a 30-day public-comment period and will unveil plans to a new version called LEED 2009 in January 2009.
