Fraenkel to close Louisiana facility

The article reports that Fraenkel, a maker and distributor of furniture, will close its case goods distribution and mattress manufacturing factory in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and merge its functions into two other plants. Fraenkel will shift furniture distribution into its Olive Branch, Mississippi, factory, and bedding manufacturing into its facility in Carrollton, Texas. The company will lay off around 70 of its 82 workers in the Baton Rouge facility.
