ABSTRACT
The article offers recent updates concerning the federal government's energy policy in the U.S. The Bureau of Land and Management (BLM) said it would not allow any more proposals for new solar power plants on millions of public acres in various states. The BLM continued to expedite a considerable amount of natural gas and oil drilling despite its acknowledgement that this could cause further reductions in deer and sage grouse populations. The U.S. Congress and President George W. Bush would have to renew the federal tax credits for solar and wind developers.
