ABSTRACT
The article reports on the stable performance of AkzoNobel in testing economic environment. According to it, the company posted a 5 percent autonomous growth for the first quarter of 2008, with a 6 percent increase in earnings per share (EPS) due to the share buyback programs. However, the autonomous growth was offset by the negative currency impact of 6 percent.
