ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs related to the economy of Estonia, as of September 2008. Estonian and Russian diplomats described the June 28 meeting between the Estonian president and his Russian counterpart as less than friendly with both parties arguing over allegations of nationalist rhetoric. Substantive revisions to the country's macroeconomic forecasts has resulted to the reduction of its short-term economic risk ratings to 67.9. An investment plan to develop greater container and vehicle handling capacity has been approved by the Port of Tallinn.
