ABSTRACT
The article provides information on the care of patients with bladder catheter infection in the U.S. Mary Schants, executive director of Missouri Alliance for Home Care (MAHC), states that using the smaller size of catheter is better that a larger one, since there would be less irritation and pressure, as well as little stress on the urethra. It notes that good hygiene practice serves a significant role in educating patients with catheters.
