ABSTRACT
The article reports on the lawsuit filed by residential and office furniture importer Alphaville Designs involving the Barcelona furniture designs of Mies van der Rohe made in 1920s in California. Alphaville demands to overturn the claim of Knoll Furniture that it holds exclusive rights to the designs. The lawsuit seeks to cancel Knoll's trademark registrations in the country.
