ABSTRACT
The article reports on the patent infringement lawsuit filed by Widevine Technologies Inc. and Verimatrix Inc. in the U.S. The lawsuit alleges Verimatrix for infringing Widevine's 7,299,292 patent through the sale and distribution of the company's ViewRight client application. Widevine Technologies stresses that Verimatrix has installed a streaming server to the technology for data encryption operating through a virtual smart card.
