ABSTRACT
The article reports on the business scenario of team dealers in the U.S. It mentions that the proliferation of big-box sporting goods retailers and in particular Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. had a deep impact on team dealers and they have faced decline in retail business in the past few years. According to Fred Baum, the owner of the largest independent baseball/softball specialty dealer in the U.S., Baum's Sporting Goods, the sports retail market is saturated.
