ABSTRACT
The article reports on the annual Pacific Coast Building Conference (PCBC) which was held on June 25, 2008 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California. The chief executives of Pulte Homes and Shea Homes, home builders in the U.S., said that the housing industry is experiencing a worsening business activity. Builders may merge and other will go bankrupt. Manufacturers showcased several fire-retardant products in response to the wildfires in the area.
