ABSTRACT
The article discusses a study which examined the effect of testosterone gel on insulin sensitivity and sexual function in hypogonadal men with type 2 diabetes or metabolic syndrome. It reveals that insulin resistance improved for all patients in the testosterone group. Improvement was also observed in patients with metabolic syndrome after 12 months. It was concluded that testosterone therapy has favorable effects on sexual dysfunction.
