ABSTRACT
The article describes the ST-segment monitoring method used in practice nursing. Silent ischemia, which occurs without symptoms, is detected through ST-segment monitoring. Because 70 to 90 percent of myocardial ischemia are clinically silent even with the use of electrocardiogram (ECG), ST-segment monitoring is considered more useful since it is sensitive than patients self-reporting of symptoms.
