ABSTRACT
The article discusses the effect of economic recession in the U.S. It says that employment data for May 2008 posted a decline of nearly 50,000 jobs. The unemployment rate of 5.5 percent is considered the highest in almost four years. It also says that the decline of consumer's ability to spend will negatively affect the potential for an economic recovery.
