ABSTRACT
The article reports on the involvement of Hilton Hotels Corp. and Marriott International in initiatives aimed at saving the planet. Hilton conducted an assessment of its global operations in partnership with Blue Skye Sustainability Consulting. On the other hand, Marriott signed an agreement with the Brazilian State of Amazonas to commit $2 million to an environmental management plan in May 2008.
