ABSTRACT
The article presents a meta-analysis of epidemiological studies on the relationship of endometrial cancer risk and cigarette smoking. Prospective and case-control studies indicate that smoking of 20 cigarettes per day reduces the risk for endometrial cancer. It concludes that smoking reduces cancer risk among hormone replacement therapy users and postmenopausal women.
