ABSTRACT
The article presents a corporate profile of Orbian Ltd., a supply chain finance company whose Orbian System platform allows buyers and sellers to settle commercial transactions. It notes that the company announced its $22 billion processed transactions for the world's largest companies in May 2008. Keith Gilroy, vice president of sales, noted that when a buyer commits to purchase from a supplier on the Orbian System, the company can offer the supplier cash for those receivables with discounts.
