ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the relations of Russia with other countries. Following the abolition of the Soviet Union, Russia made efforts to become a full partner in the world's principal political groupings including the United Nations (UN), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and the European Union (EU). Aside from supporting separatist regimes in Georgia and Moldova, Russia has also opposed the membership aspirations of Ukraine and Georgia to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
