ABSTRACT
The article explores the workload of labor lawyer Arnold Peter at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, California wherein theme parks served as a major part. His practice demands engineering knowledge, artistic design and some law. Theme park rides involve liability, patent issues and labor disputes with movie screenwriters. Peter says that if a ride is based entirely on elements of the movie, the studio can claim it, but if the ride is based on the movies and involves new characters, the writer can claim it.
