ABSTRACT
The article discusses the request to U.S. health care providers to render a more effective care to all patients at the end of life. It states that Joanne Lynn, a medical officer at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, says that the misconception usually lies in provision of services related to its costs. Lynn adds that despite rising costs of services, the care tendered to terminally ill patients has not improved.
