ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs related to law and politics. It reports that leading equality barrister, Tess Gill has branded the new equality bill as a modest, yet disappointing move. She expressed her dismay for the press coverage of the said bill, and adds that the bill is partly down to a lack of conviction from the government. The Employment Appeal Tribunal made the ruling in the case of Nicholls versus Corin Tech Ltd., in which an employer met the claimant in the lift at a preliminary hearing, and allegedly swore at and threatened him.
