ABSTRACT
The article presents information about imitations of native ornaments made in Europe, and expresses the hope that more information collected about these ornaments will lead to great knowledge about the extent of their trade. The images presented are discussed, including that of the purchases made in Cairo, Egypt, by Peter W. Schienerl of miniature talhakimt or tanfouk. The ornaments are made of glass, with some resembling the colors of the originals, while some are completely different.
