The article reports on the decision of three off-strip hotels in the U.S. to increase their promotional spending in their efforts to encourage customers to visit their properties. Aside from this, these properties have also taken separate approaches to cost-cutting. Hooters Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel and the Las Vegas Hilton have all boosted their promotional efforts during the first three months of 2008.
