ABSTRACT
The article analyse concepts of EU enlargement. Was did two researches to identify opinions of enlargement of EU by Lithuanian inhabitants and benefits and losses for Lithuania after accession to EU. Hypothesis 1 : the biggest benefits to Lithuania after its accession to the EU are: security of the country, additional investments to business, economic benefit from cooperation with other EU countries was not proved. Hypothesis 2: the biggest parts of Lithuanian's respondents agree for future EU enlargement is proved. The results to future EU enlargement are: 67,1 percent of respondents agree for future enlargement, strong negative point to future EU enlargement had 16,9. The bigger problems respondents see of arrival of immigrants (3,84), down-size workplaces in country (3,10), financial embarrassment for our country after enlargement (more weakest economically countries joined)(3,02), and conflicts between different religions (3,00).
