ABSTRACT
The article reports on the author's travel along with his colleagues of the International Oak Society (OAS) in Japan in October 2007 for the IOS Tour. It is inferred that ten members of the IOS from various countries participated in the tour, prompted and administered by Anke Mattern from Germany. He notes that professor Hideaki Ohba of the University of Tokyo arranged their tour and personally showed them all 15 native species of oak found in the country.
