ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the purple hairstreak, a Eurosian butterfly which depends its living on oak trees. It is inferred that hairstreaks, of which name refers to the markings underneath its wings, lay its eggs on oak trees. Their caterpillar feed on oak and spend most of its life in oak treetops. It discusses its life cycle, stating that tiny eggs are laid in July or August.
