The article provides information on the Akai's MPC music production center/drum machine which is a driving force in hip-hop production. The Akai's MPC is used in all types of recordings and used as a main instrument in live performances. In this article, some tips in using the various types of MPC are provided including the use of compatible programs in exchanging files with other MPC users, adjustment of time signature of the MPC and the application of the linear recording approach.
