ABSTRACT
This article reports on the marketing opportunities presented by technological devices, such as cell phones and iPhones, to U.S. foodservice operations. Dexter Hancock of DCH Regional Medical Center uses a weekly e-newsletter to reach employees across the health system's four hospitals. UCSF Medical Center's Dan Henroid says he wants to use the foodservice's site on the hospital's Intranet as an information hub. Robert Coe of Sonoma State University says Dining Services uses online coupons to draw customers into their facilities.
