ABSTRACT
The article reports on the research project of converting a petrol-fueled vehicles into ethanol-fueled vehicles in Malawi. The project has started to show success because the road-tests of ethanol-fueled Mitsubishi Pajero managed to cover the set distances without any problems. Moreover, the project has continued comparing the engine performance of ethanol-powered and petrol-driven vehicles to check on the long-term effects of ethanol on the fuel system of vehicles.
