ABSTRACT
The article reports that automobile dealers are ordering more crossovers, cars with four-cylinder engines and hybrids for the next model year and fewer big sport utility vehicles. Mark Parkinson, a Buick, Pontiac, GMC and Hummer automobile dealer in Los Angeles, California, says he must factor in rapidly rising gasoline prices, and consumer response to them, as he develops his order strategy. Parkinson said he continues to order GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave crossovers.
