The article reports that the Scottish government has been urged to abandon thoughts of extending right to buy legislation for tenants, to encourage landowners to offer more farms for rent. The fear of right to buy has been identified by Scotland's Tenant Farming Forum as the key deterrent to land being made available to tenants and the main stumbling block preventing new entrants getting a start in farming.
