The article discusses the chemical considerations for high temperature superconductors and their confrontation with nanotechnology challenges. It examines various families of known chemical dimensions from where superconductors originated including the cuprate family, the Yttrium-Barium-Copper-Oxide (YBCO) family and the bismuth strontium calcium copper oxide (BSCCO) family. It mentions that researchers are trying to study the superconducting properties of superconductors at the nano-scale level.
