Endovascular repair for thoracic aortic disease viable

The article features the use of endovascular stent grafts as viable alternative for treating thoracic aortic disease. According to Mark D. Morasch, M.D., associate professor at Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, minimally invasive endovascular techniques using grafts have been developed as alternatives for the traditional open surgical management of thoracic aortic disease. Dr. Morasch also stated that endovascular technology advancement allowed patients to undergo these procedures who otherwise may not have survived treatment.
