ABSTRACT
The article reports on new Manukau Centre for Mechatronics of the Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) which is proving successful with businesses and students alike. The said centre has a training room equipped with PLCs, touch screens, variable speed drives and a selection of device and sensor bus systems. In 2008, MIT will continue to provide customised automation courses for industry.
