The article looks at issues concerning the Look Smart campaign, which is aimed at promoting smart energy metering in England. Primed to take part were Energywatch chief executive Allan Asher, his counterpart at the Energy Retail Association, Duncan Sedgwick, and editor Steve Hobson. All three were due to take a sledgehammer to a pile of old gas meters opposite Westminster, London, England. However, the campaign did not push through for fear that motorists will be intrigued by the demonstration that they might have an accident.
