ABSTRACT
The article reports on a class action lawsuit alleging several major magazine publishers and the Magazine Publishers of America conspired to artificially prop up subscription prices filed by Bruce Gerstein in the U.S. District Court in New York in June 30, 2000. The complaint was filed on behalf of three subscribers living in different states. The case has significant implications for the ongoing debate over how to measure paid circulation.
