ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's denial of the Sierra Club's request for the adoption of formaldehyde standard on composite wood products in California. He points out that its usage would bring negative and positive mentalities to the minds of the people. Formaldehyde has been classified by International Agency for Research on Cancer as carcinogen. However, according to the author, it was also found out that it improves air quality.
