Consumer confidence takes tumble in June

The article reports that the decline of the furniture stock index in the U.S. It is stated that the consumer confidence fell to 50.4 from 58.1 in May 2008. The present situation index also fell to 64.5 from 74.2 and the expectations index to 41.0 from 47.3. Conference board director Lynn Franco said that consumers' assessment of present-day conditions continues to grow negative.
