This article reports on the launch of the Juan Carlos I aircraft carrier built by Navantia for the Spanish Navy. The ship has been built to provide the Navy with the means to perform a wide variety of missions, in addition to air support operations, include force projection and civilian evacuation. The ship features a 202-metre long flight deck, aircraft hangar and garages.
