ABSTRACT
The article discusses the provisions of the 2008 Economic Stimulus Package in the U.S. that can help stimulate business in veterinary practice. It relates that new stimulus package allows a 50% bonus depreciation deduction for practices buying major equipment and tax breaks. Moreover, it discusses Section 179 of the stimulus package that provides an option for veterinarians to categorize cost of veterinary equipment as expense rather than capital expenditure.
